On August 12, the Shipyard received the visit of a delegation of attendees of the XXX Meeting of Chiefs of Staff of the Argentinean and Chilean Navies. On the part of the Argentinean Navy, the delegation was made up of the Director General of Organization and Doctrine, Rear Admiral Guillermo Luis Lezana, the Navy and Defence Attaché of Argentina in Chile, Ship Captain Fabián Gerardo D’Angelo and Technical Advisors, Ship Captain Fernando Augusto Dachary and Commander Sergio Jesús Dalvit. On the part of the Chilean Navy, the delegation was composed of the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Navy, Rear Admiral José Rivera Sariego, the Chief of International Relations of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Ship Captain Fernando Lledó Moraga and the Chief of International Affairs of the Chief of Staff of the Navy, Commander Alejandro Arrieta de la Maza.
Upon their arrival at the Shipyard, they were received by ASMAR Talcahuano’s Manager, Ship Captain Harold Kauer Tapia, who made a presentation on the organization of ASMAR and the current and future projects that are being developed in the shipbuilding and repairs area. They subsequently toured the facilities, visiting the Diesel Engine Testing Bank, Weapons Systems Department, dry docks and floating docks and finally the slipway where the OPV-4 for the Chilean Navy is being built.
